A suspected burglar will appear in court after a bowling club was raided.

Herne Bay Bowling Club in Spenser Road, Herne Bay, was broken into and alcohol, cash from the till, food and donations from a charity box were reported stolen.

The incident happened between December 3 and 4.

Michael Jones, 27, of Victoria Park in Herne Bay was charged with burglary on Christmas Eve.

He has been released on bail to appear at Margate Magistrates’ Court on January 23.
