A teenager is facing surgery after he was attacked by two men demanding he hand over his distinctive designer jacket.
The victim, 18, was walking home when he was approached by the pair who told him to hand over his A Bathing Ape coat.
He said he was punched and kicked during the scuffle and now faces surgery for a fractured jaw.
The incident is reported to have happened in Cross Street, Herne Bay, between 10pm and 11.25pm on Friday.
The two men are believed to have driven off in a white or cream-coloured Fiat.
Police say the first man is described as white, about 5ft 6in tall, with blond hair which was curly on the top and short at the sides.
He was wearing a navy blue or black T-shirt and dark tracksuit bottoms or jeans.
The second man is described as being white, about 5ft 6in tall, with short brown hair. He was wearing a navy blue or black bomber jacket. Both are said to have had English accents.
Officers are appealing for anyone who was in the Cross Street area of Herne Bay at the time and who may have witnessed the incident or saw anyone acting suspiciously to contact them.
The stolen jacket was unusual in that it was made by the Japanese streetwear-style label A Bathing Ape. It was camouflage-coloured and had a shark head on the hood.
Police would also like to hear from anyone who recognises the description of the jacket or who has any information that could help the investigation.
