A man was left needing hospital treatment after he was approached by four people and then attacked.
Police were called to Douglas Road in Herne Bay at 4pm yesterday, following a report that a man had sustained injuries.
At the scene, officers were told the victim had been approached by four men, two of whom had then assaulted him.
He was taken to hospital, but has now been discharged.
Douglas Road was shut from about 4.30pm until approximately 6.15pm while police investigated.
Officers are continuing to carry out enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
