A 70-year-old man has been found safe and well after he went missing on Boxing Day.

Derek Wratten was last seen in The Broadway, Herne Bay, at about 5pm on Wednesday.

Police described him as very slim, approximately 5ft 6ins tall with straight, shoulder-length, grey hair.

Mr Wratten, who is from Herne Bay, was believed to be wearing dark tracksuit bottoms and a grey hooded top when he went missing.

Police spokesman Natalie Hardy said on Thursday: "Officers are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare and would like to hear from anyone who has seen him or knows where he might be."
