An elderly man who disappeared in the early hours of yesterday morning has been found safe and well.

Derek Wratten was last seen at about 1am on Monday in The Broadway, Herne Bay , before he went missing.

Police launched a search for the 72-year-old, described as about 5 ft 2 ins tall, slim, with dark brown, shoulder-length hair and brown stubble.

But officers have today confirmed Mr Wratten has been found safe.
