A long-awaited 24-hour gym on the outskirts of Herne Bay has been given an opening date.
Snap Fitness has revealed that it expects to start welcoming fitness fanatics in December.
It will be located next to the Sainsbury’s at the Altira Business Park in Broomfield and contain a training area and a room for free-weights exercises.
The former will be kitted out with a sled track, battle ropes, core bags and plyo boxes.
The all-day gym will have monthly rolling memberships.
As part of the fee, subscribers will be able to take part in group fitness sessions.
Proposals to open Snap Fitness in the 1,000 sq m building were submitted in February before being given the go-ahead two months later.
It will be leased out by Sainsbury’s to the US firm, which has centres in 19 countries.
Planning documents reveal the supermarket giant would have considered renting the building to a retailer if the gym bid was refused.
