Westbrook Lane in Herne Bay will close on Monday for a week to allow UK Power Networks to carry out emergency works in order to maintain power to 2,000 homes.

The road closure is expected to last until Friday.

It means the household waste recycling centre in Westbrook Lane will not be accessible.

Anyone needing to use recycling centres is asked to travel to the ones at Canterbury and Margate instead.
