Family and friends of a man who went missing six days ago have thanked all those who helped to search for him - after he turned up safe and well.
Nicholas Surridge, 48, disappeared from his home in Broomfield, near Herne Bay, in the early hours of Tuesday, September 18.
At one point the Coastguard helicopter was used to search for him in case he had got into difficulties along the beach, while police teams searched Clowes Wood between Canterbury and Whitstable.
Police say he was found yesterday.
