The coastguard and lifeboat crews were both called out today to rescue three people who had drifted out to sea on an inflatable dinghy.
The call came just a day after two teenagers were rescued nearby after their lilos were blown out to sea.
At around 10.30am today, the coastguard and lifeboat were called to Herne Bay where it was reported three people, with no lifejackets, had floated out to sea on a small children's inflatable dinghy.
The coastguard said the craft was "rapidly being pulled out to sea by both wind and tide."
A jet skier took two of the people ashore and the lifeboat helped bring the third person and the inflatable back to the beach.
They were met by the coastguard and advised on water safety.
It has been a busy day for the lifeboat crews after their first call out this morning at around 8.30am, when it was reported a kayaker was having difficulties near Minnis Bay.
When they arrived, the kayaker had returned to shore.
On the way back from rescuing the three people on the inflatable dinghy, they were flagged down by someone on a separate dinghy who asked if they could have help returning to the beach.
The lifeboat took them under tow and landed them at the beach near to Whitstable Yacht Club.
