A popular route running through the centre of Herne Bay has been closed for as many as 10 days.

Avenue Road has today been sealed off to allow for pothole repairs between the junctions of Station Road and Clarence Road.

The stretch though will be open over the bank holiday weekend.

The work will be undertaken by Kent County Council.
