Two in court after attempted robbery

Two people from Herne Bay appeared before magistrates on Friday charged with attempted robbery from a general stores in the town.

David Mulcahy, 28, of Queen Street, and a 17 year-old youth both withheld pleas at Canterbury Magistrates' Court.

Mulcahy is charged with attempted robbery.

The teenager is charged with possession of an imitation firearm and attempted robbery.

They were arrested on Wednesday in connection with an attempted raid at King's Road Stores on Tuesday.

Both were remanded in custody to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on September 1.

Two people have been charged in connection with an attempted robbery from King's Road Stores in Herne Bay on Tuesday.

David Mulcahy and a 17-year-old Herne Bay youth will both appear before Canterbury Magistrates Court today.

Mulcahy, 28, of Elizabeth Court, Queen Street, Herne Bay, has been charged with attempted robbery and the 17-year-old with possession of an imitation firearm and attempted robbery.
