Herne Bay joint manager John Embery says his side are doing all the right things at the moment.

His side have won back-to-back games and wants more of the same from his side when they play Molesey in Bostik South.

Bay beat second-placed Cray Wanderers at home on Saturday with their opponents missing out on the chance to go top.

Embery said: “We are a good side and need to be consistent. Like I keep saying, if we play like that, we will keep winning more games than we lose.

“I want them to approach each game the same and with the same attitude. Our team is all about keeping the ball and we retain the ball well.”

“We take it game by game. We have to just keep playing well and see where it takes us.

“If they keep playing the same way, then it is in their hands but it then also depends on the teams around us. We want to concentrate on us doing well.”

Bay went behind to Cray but second-half goals from Jake Embery and Ben Gorham gave the hosts the three points.

Embery was impressed with his side’s performance and the hard work they put in.

He said: “We were the better side and in the second half we could have won it by more. The boys worked hard and put in a lot of effort and desire."

The win puts Herne Bay 15th and they face Molesey on Saturday, who are second from bottom. They travel to Hythe on Tuesday.
