John Embery says some of his Herne Bay players are attracting attention from National League clubs.
Bay have a young side the joint-boss of Bay has believes his players have the ability to play at a higher level than the Bostik South East.
Embery said: “Tom Carlton, Bradley Schafer and Jake Embery are attracting interest from clubs in the National League.
“They are good enough and I would not be surprised if they go on to play at a high level.
“Jake scored four against Ramsgate and he could have had six and played very well.”
Bay had their first win of the season in the Bostik South East with a 5-4 victory over Ramsgate.
It lifted them off the foot of the table and they want to push on from there.
Embery said: “It was one of those games where we did not deserve to go behind. We went in front and then within 10 minutes were 3-1 down.
“We said at half-time that if they kept going then they will get something out of the game.
“Ramsgate’s front three are very dangerous. We have conceded five or six penalties so far this season, which is ridiculous and we should not be doing that.
“It was a good game for the neutral. We said after the game last night that our season starts now. To go and do that against a good side like that is very good.
“We had not played in the league for a while and had ended up bottom so psychologically it was good to get that win.”
Bay have had a number of injury problems this season and have been forced into a number of changes this season.
They now do not have a game until Tuesday, October 9, meaning they have two weeks without a fixture.
Embery added: “We have got our wide players back and have been plagued with injuries so far this season.
“It is the first time in a while that we have had a settled side. Alex Skinner and Raphe Brown really cause problems for defenders and are dangerous players.
“The only thing we are disappointed with is that we have no game for two weeks. It does give us a chance to get some players back to full fitness though.”
