Consistency is the key for Herne Bay this season, according to joint manager John Embery.
Bay have enjoyed a successful week with two cup wins and a draw at Hythe with 15 goals scored in the process.
Embery is looking to continue that run when they host Greenwich Borough in the Bostik South East on Saturday.
He said: “In competitive games we won our last four at the end of last season and have only lost once at the start of this campaign. So we have carried on from where we left off.
“I expect us to win on Saturday as we are in good form at the moment. We just have to keep doing it consistently. If we keep doing that then we will do well this season.
“Hythe are going to be there or there abouts at the end of the season. We feel like we are in the same bracket as them.”
Bay were 10 minutes away from getting three points from their trip to Hythe before scored an equaliser.
Embery said: “Both teams went for it and it was disappointing that we went a goal behind.
“At 2-1 their goalkeeper made a very good save to stop us scoring a third. At that point I thought there was only one winner.
“A deflection was going wide and it went in off one of our players for their second goal. We should have had three points from the game.
“We had a couple of players missing and were not at full strength so that gives us confidence of where we are at as a team.”
Bay also progressed in the FA Cup to the first qualifying round after a 7-1 drubbing of Arundel.
Embery added: “We were good and could have scored 10 or 12 and I would have like it to have got in double figures.
“Our players did everything very well and it was a good performance.
“Our new goalkeeper Jordan Beeney came in and has been excellent so we are really pleased with how things are going and we look like a very good side at the moment.”
