Mark Lovell and Ian Pulman are continuing their scoring purple-patch and Herne Bay boss Sam Denly is delighted.
The two strikers were on target again in the 2-0 Ryman League, Division 1 South home win against Molesey on Saturday, as Bay extended their unbeaten record to nine games.
The pair have scored 15 of Bay’s 22 goals in the run - Lovell 10 in eight games and Pulman five in the last four, since returning to the club.
Denly said: “We have been playing with a front three recently, they are both doing very well, and Danny Williams has been chipping in as well.
“Loves has become a bit of an edge of the area specialist, and has the experience to be in the right place at the right time.
“Pully has scored a wide range of goals, and more in the box finding half a yard of space.”
The Molesey victory, followed the 1-1 draw against South Park at Winch’s Field last Wednesday, when Stuart King came off the bench to grab a stoppage-time equaliser.
Denly added: “We were really good against Molesey but awful against South Park which was a poor performance.
“It has been a fantastic run, and we are now looking to compete with the mid table teams, and make sure we stay on their heels.
“We still have other tough games to come though, including both Greenwich Borough and Dorking Wanderers.”
Bay’s best run of the season will be fully tested when they travel to play-off hopefuls Carshalton Athletic on Saturday.
Lovell and Pulman will be up against former team-mate, and Denly’s brother-in-law Connor Sanders, who made his debut for the Surrey club in their 5-1 home win over Three Bridges last weekend.
Denly added: “We spoke about the game, but not at great length, because we are playing them. We will go there full of confidence, and hope to bring something home."
