Nathan Milgate finished 12th in the R3-10m air rifle prone at the Paralympic Games in Beijing as the squad celebrated team-mate Matt Skelhon winning the team's 22nd gold medal beating home favourite Zhang Cuiping by half a point.
Milgate (21) from Herne Bay, youngest member of the British shooting squad also shot well in a high quality competition, narrowly missing out on a place in the eight-man final in a field of 44. Now having benefited from the experience of his first competition, Milgate will turn his attentions towards the 2012 London Games.
He is due to stay on for the rest of the competition, and take part in next week's lavish closing ceremony.
