TV star Amanda Holden has enjoyed a “wonderful” trip to a Kent animal park.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge visited Port Lympne Hotel and Reserve near Hythe this weekend with her family and says it was the “best experience ever”.

She posted a video on social media showing some of the highlights of her visit.

The 52-year-old kicked off the trip by checking into her accommodation, the Lion Lodge, which costs £1,099 a night to stay in.

She captured a shot of her neighbour, a lion who was gnawing at a piece of meat hanging from a tree.

Next, she got on a golf buggy with her daughters and ventured to the rhino enclosure.

During their stay, they also fed a leopard, giraffes and gorilla.

Holden then settled in for afternoon tea in a hand-painted dining room before heading back to the accommodation and settling next to the warming fireplace with a drink.

Sharing the clip on Instagram with her two million followers, she also wrote: “[I] had a wonderful stay here with my family this weekend: honestly the best experience ever!

“Rooms and roommates amazing/ food fabulous …”

This is not the first time a celebrity has enjoyed a stay at the animal park.

The Only Way is Essex stars including Gemma Collins, Amy Childs, Billie Shepherd and Samantha Faiers, have all visited Port Lympne and raved about it.

Speaking after Amanda Holden’s stay, a spokesperson from Port Lympne said she was a “lovely guest and an absolute pleasure”.

“She loved everything Port Lympne has to offer from the amazing environment the animals are kept in here, the conservation work we do with The Aspinall Foundation, our super unique accommodation and the quality of our food,” she said.

“Amanda said she can’t wait to come back and we look forward to welcoming her back.”
