CCTV appeal after electric bikes stolen from Cycle Fixit in Hythe

A frustrated businessman has released CCTV footage following a break-in at his cycle shop.
At least five electric bikes worth £13,000 were stolen from Cycle Fixit in Hythe high street during an overnight raid on Wednesday, September 18.
It is thought vandals broke in through the store's back door, which has been left severely damaged and in need of extensive repairs.
Now, almost a month on from the incident, Adam Parsons, the owner's son, has posted the CCTV footage online in an attempt to get some answers.
It comes as police have also released CCTV images of two men they are trying to find about the thefts.
The CCTV footage shows two men in the store, both wearing hats, a tracksuit and a jacket.
Mr Parsons, who has worked in the shop for the past 17 years, estimates the total cost of the raid has set the business back £15,000.
He added: “Replacing the bikes cost £13,000.
“We worked out that around £1,000 in stock was taken, my laptop which cost around £450 and replacing the rear doors cost about £1,100.
“I would say this has impacted the business. People just aren't bringing as many repairs into us because they're a bit worried it could happen again.
“It’s been a tough couple of weeks but this is why we are spending the money securing the shop.
“I’m confident we can get back on our feet.”
The shop’s CCTV system was also damaged during the raid, leaving Mr Parsons to salvage any footage from the cameras and piece together evidence himself.
Officers were called to the shop on the morning of September 18. They have since been carrying out enquiries including viewing local CCTV and have now released images of two men who may be able to assist enquiries.
Inspector Pete Woodridge said: “I appreciate the images are not of the best quality, but I hope they might jog someone's memory or those pictured may be recognisable from their clothing.”
