A cyclist was injured in an alleged hit and run in Hythe.

It is reported the crash happened when the vehicle turned into Stade Street from the A259.

The cyclist suffered minor leg injuries in the incident, but the car drove on.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses to the incident, which reportedly happened at 11.50am on Sunday, September 24.

The information has today been released by police, but no details about the make and model of the car have been reported.

A spokesman confirmed the vehicle was blue.

A 44-year-old man was injured but did not require hospital treatment.
