If you were out and about in Kent today you might have spotted a few dinosaurs.

No, your eyes wouldn’t have been deceiving you they really were pretty much the real thing.

The life size creatures were being driven around the county today ahead of Port Lympne Reserve near Hythe launching their Dinosaur Forest attraction later this month.

The park has revealed the eagerly awaited new section of the park will be open to the public from Good Friday (March 25).

As part of the build up to the opening the Centrosaurus has been spotted in a cage towed by a Land Rover from Ashford to Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks.

The park has been asking people to share their sightings using #DinoTour.

KentOnline got a sneak peak at the first herd arriving at the park last month.

The creatures are anatomically correct and authentic.

Rangers will be giving talks and tours to tell visitors more about the individual species in the woodland area.

Port Lympne managing director Bob O’Connor said the dinosaurs fitted into the conservation ethos the park has because if endangered animals are not looked after now they could be remembered in the same way dinosaurs are now.
