Improvements are being made to a Kent supermarket, including fitting a bigger cafe and updated deli counters.
Work at Waitrose, in Hythe, started today and is expected to take around eight weeks, with some areas of the store out of bounds to customers while the project takes place.
This includes the cafe, which is being fitted with a fresh look, more seating and will benefit from a new menu.
The refurbishment will take just under two months, with the cafe scheduled to open again on Friday, November 8.
The meat, fish and deli counters will also close for an estimated three weeks while they receive an update.
New signage will be fitted to the outside of the store, in Prospect Road, and the cash point will be removed and placed in a new location.
A Waitrose & Partners spokeswoman said: "Work will get underway on Monday, September 16 to deliver some exciting new changes for Hythe customers, including a new look cafe with additional seating and new menu, as well as updated meat, fish and deli counters.
"The counters will be closed for a few weeks, although customers can continue to choose from the other excellent options available in the shop.
"We will make every effort to minimise disruption to customers and our Partners will be on hand to help as always."
The make-over comes just a week ahead of Hythe's Aldi opening, which will take place on Thursday, September 26 at its new location on the Kengate Industrial Estate in Dymchurch Road.
