A dog owner is appealing for help after her chihuahua went missing on Sunday in Hythe.
Chilli, who is two and a half, disappeared at 4pm on Sunday.
Owner Pam Forrest, who lives in Folkestone but was in Hythe when Chilli went missing from the Tanner’s Hill area, said: “She’s been missing for more than 48 hours and bolted while I was in Hythe.
“I’ve had her for seven months after she was rehomed from the breeders.
“We think she’s trying to make her own way home. There’s been one sighting at 3.30am on Monday.
“She’s on DogLost and we’ve posted on Facebook and notified every vet in Hythe, the dog warden, police and RSPCA. She’s microchipped and was wearing a collar with an ID disc.
“The longer she’s out there the more she’s not likely to survive. It’s the overnight temperatures we’re worried about.
“She’s chocolate brown and has a clear white marking.”
