A former deputy head teacher is facing a long jail sentence after chatting on the internet with two "brothers-in-law" about child sex.

Married Martin Locke, 64, spoke with Jason Swift and Nathan Barnes about meeting their step daughters Lucy, seven, and 11-year-old Emily for sex.

The ex-teacher arranged to meet the two men at the Moto service station in Medway to organise a possible groping session with the girls at a local swimming pool in October last year.

Now a judge has heard Jason and Nathan were the pseudonym of an undercover police officer and neither of the girls existed.

Judge Adele Williams heard how after retiring from teaching, Locke, of Tanner Hill Gardens, Hythe, qualified for fostering young children.

Now he is a facing a long jail sentence after admitting a string of sex offences, including possessing and distributing sick sex images of children.

Locke sat with his head bowed at Canterbury Crown Court as prosecutor Simon Taylor told of the foster carer's secret world of perversion.

After raiding his home, officers took away a laptop that revealed Locke had been posing as Micky Green to view images and movies.

Mr Taylor said: "As part of the review of his emails which he had sent from that address was one in particular which he sent to another user.

"In it he detailed an event of a child, who had stayed at his home, and he had taken images of the female while she slept."

Mr Taylor said an officer reviewed images in a mobile phone belonging to the defendant and it contained 13 images of the same female.

Social services and a fostering agency were later able to identify the victim.

Mr Taylor added Locke had also sexually assaulted another young girl while he was being assessed for his suitability to become a carer.

And another teenage girl in care was given £50 by the pervert for images of her in her "bra and nix".

Mr Taylor said other images on Locke's camera included ones he had secretly taken at a local supermarket showing "upskirt" shots of two unsuspecting schoolgirls.

Locke also confessed to taking a pair of pants from one of the girls in care and meeting up with a "like-minded" individual in Maidstone twice, when they put the clothing on their heads and carried out a sex act.

Locke, whose family is standing by him, will be sentenced on Friday.
