Laser pen attacks investigated in Hythe after several incidents reported to Kent Police

An investigation has been launched after a spate of laser pen attacks in Hythe.

The latest incident took place when a woman suffered blurred vision after a pen was shone directly in her eyes while she was sat at home.

Police were called to the Hawthorn Close area in Palmarsh near Hythe last Wednesday, March 23 at 7.45pm.

The woman's eyesight was affected when the light was shone straight at her through her living room window.

Officers are linking the incident to "several other incidents" in the area when laser pens have been shone through people's windows.

They are now appealing for witnesses and have warned they will not "hesitate in making arrests" for incidents of this nature.
