Stars from Doctor Who, Poldark and A Street Cat Named Bob are currently filming in Kent for an upcoming TV drama.
Crews involved in The Serial Killer’s Wife have been in Folkestone and Hythe over the last two weeks, with Church Road previously turned into a "crime scene" for the day.
Now, the actors for the Paramount series, who have been in Saltwood this week, have been revealed.
Set to air later this year, The Serial Killer’s Wife sees Annabel Scholey, Jack Farthing and Luke Treadaway cast in the lead roles.
Annabel Scholey has been seen on screen in The Split, The Sixth Commandment and had a recurring role in series 13 of Doctor Who playing Claire Brown.
She also featured in The Salisbury Poisonings and plays Lady Anne in Sam Mendes’s Richard III as well as starring alongside Dame Judi Dench in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Jack Farthing is an established television face, having appeared in the remakes of Poldark and Poirot.
He has also recently appeared in multi-award-winning films including Spencer and The Lost Daughter, as well as The ABC Murders and Rain Dogs.
Luke Treadaway is known for playing main character Vincent Rattrey in Fortitude, and his most recent TV features have included Lockwood & Co, The Singapore Grip and Traitors.
He won an Olivier Award for Best Leading Actor for his performance as Christopher in the National Theatre's production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. He also starred in A Street Cat Named Bob.
The show is being produced by the makers of The Ex-Wife, Clapperboard Studios and BlackBox Multimedia, with filming continuing in Folkestone this month.
Set in a family home nestled in an idyllic English town, Beth Fairchild, played by Scholey, has prepared a surprise birthday party for her husband and doctor Tom, played by Farthing.
With most of the village present, Beth’s world is turned upside down when the party is interrupted by the police and Tom is arrested for the murder of his former assistant.
Beth believes her husband has been wrongly accused but she soon makes shocking discoveries that cast doubt on his innocence.
As she confides her worries to Adam, played by Treadaway, Tom’s best friend from childhood, further developments see Beth begin to realise not everything in her supposedly idyllic life is as it seems.
Speaking about her role in the show, Scholey says she cannot wait to go on her character’s journey.
“I am thrilled to be part of this talented cast and creative team and can't wait to go on Beth's complex and eye-opening journey of self-revelation,” she said.
