Police seize drugs and cash following M20 collision

A man was arrested and drugs, cash and mobile phones seized following a crash on the M20.

Police were called to a collision between a car and a van at junction 11 of the motorway, near Westenhanger, Hythe, shortly before 5.30pm on Tuesday.

A man who is believed to have been a passenger in one of the vehicles was reportedly seen to leave the scene shortly after the collision.

Officers carried out a search and a 37-year-old man from the Folkestone area was arrested nearby on suspicion of drugs offences.

They also seized suspected cocaine, cannabis, a large amount of cash and mobile phones.

The man who was arrested has been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
