A town council has had to shut its office after its staff were hit by coronavirus.
Hythe Town Council has confirmed its office will be closed for more than a week after at least one staff member tested positive for Covid-19.
The office will remain closed until next Monday (November 2), with all staff working from home.
It is thought to be the first Kent council of any kind that has been forced to close due to the virus.
In an announcement on Facebook, a spokesman said: "Our offices have been affected by Covid-19 and will be unmanned until Monday 2nd November 2020.
"The office staff will be working from home and can be contacted by email only on Admin@Hythe-tc.gov.uk.
"Thank you for your patience and understanding at this difficult time."
It is not yet clear how many staff have tested positive for the virus.
