A 'medical emergency' is understood to have caused a crash between two vehicles has been causing delays on the M20.

Part of the motorway is blocked coastbound at junction 11 for Hythe/Westenhanger.

The accident happened at around 5.15pm and highways officials say the carriageway is likely to be blocked until at least 11.30pm.

Highways England said one lane of the motorway was shut due as a result of the crash following a "medical emergency".
