A flood alert has been issued for the Kent coast, from Sandgate to Dungeness.
The Environment Agency warns that flooding is possible in that area and residents should be prepared.
Communities on that stretch of the coast include: Hythe, Dymchurch, St Marys Bay, Littlestone, Greatstone, New Romney and communities on the Romney Marsh up to the Royal Military Canal.
The agency advises avoiding using low lying footpaths or entering areas prone to flooding.
Earlier today Sandgate High Street was flooded, with cars wading through water-logged roads.
The Solarium, on the town’s beachfront was completely covered in water.
Yesterday, the Met Office warned that heavy rainfall is expected to hit the county this weekend, with the chance of disruption to homes, businesses and services.
A yellow weather warning is in place until Sunday evening.
Parts of the county which have seen heavy rainfall today also include Ashford and Deal.
