The smile on little Jacob Ketchell-Brown’s face says it all after being reunited with his beloved Iggle Piggle toy.
Jacob lost Iggle at the teddy bear’s picnic during the Hythe Festival in Oaklands Park on Sunday July 1.
Organisers emailed more than 550 parents to help track the cuddly toy down.
After an appeal in the Folkestone & Hythe Express and on KentOnline earlier this month, one-year-old Jacob was reunited with Iggle, who is a character from the CBeebies TV programme In the Night Garden, after he was handed in to Cheriton library.
Mum Hayley Brown, of Winter Drive, Hawkinge, said on behalf of dad Mark Ketchell and Jacob’s grandma Jennie: “A huge thank you to your paper, to the organisers of the teddy bear’s picnic, Shirley Johnson and Nick Lord at Sure Start Children’s Centre in Hythe and also to Marilyn Atkinson from Cheriton library who passed Iggle Piggle to Hythe library so we could pick him up.
“He was bought by Jacob’s grandma especially because he loves this show so much. Jacob was sat on Grandma Jennie’s knee and they opened the large brown envelope together.
"As soon as Jacob saw Iggle Piggle climbing out of the envelope he gave him a big smile and picked him up and kissed him with a big cuddle!”
