A driver arrested for driving the wrong way down the M20 which caused a huge crash has been released on bail.
The 35-year-old man was in hospital following the smash in the outside lane of the Londonbound carriageway on Thursday afternoon.
He was released from hospital and taken into custody on Friday.
But police confirmed he was later released on bail until May 31 while further inquiries are carried out.
Two other people were involved in the crash between junctions 11 and 10 (Hythe and Ashford) shortly after midday on Thursday, April 7.
A 25-year-old woman who was travelling in the car going the right way on the carriageway was taken to King's College Hospital in London with "severe" injuries.
She is said to still be in "a stable condition".
A third person, a man in the same car as the young woman, was treated at the William Harvey Hospital but was released later that day.
Motorists described the "heart-in-mouth" moment of having to swerve out of the way of a driver in a black Seat Ibiza car.
The crash caused hours of tailbacks as the emergency services closed the motorway in both directions to clear up the crash and the wreckage of both cars.
The road only began to reopen four hours after the crash, causing delays on diversion routes such as the M2 and A2, and the A20.
