A police chase has resulted in two men being arrested.
Police were called to a disturbance in Millfield, Hawkinge just after 12pm yesterday. Officers attended and a man reported he had been assaulted.
A car linked to the incident was seen about two hours after the initial call in Seabrook Road, Hythe and a deflation device was used to stop it in Dymchurch Road, after being pursued.
A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault, dangerous driving and failing to stop and remains in custody while inquiries into the full circumstances continue.
An 18-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of affray in relation to the same incident and also remains in custody.
Police are now asking anyone who was in the Millfield area of Hawkinge at the time of the incident, and who saw anything suspicious, to call 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/100003/23.
