Strictly star Alex Scott MBE feeds a giraffe at Port Lympne near Hythe

TV star and ex football player Alex Scott took a break for her busy schedule to visit a Kent animal park.

Former Arsenal player, Alex Scott MBE, visited Port Lympne near Hythe at the weekend and has shared pictures and videos on her social media page.

The BBC Sport presenter, who is commenting on this year’s Women’s World Cup and has 1.8 million followers on Instagram, posted a video of herself getting up close with a giraffe named Kylian.

In the video, the animal comes extremely near to the Strictly Come Dancing star, and can be seen ripping the leaves off a branch she is holding out.

Following her trip, Alex is now back in the studio, and watched the England beat Nigeria in penalties.

Earlier this summer, rangers at the animal park paid tribute to a “quirky and sweet” gorilla who sadly died.

Rangers described Bonz as an “immense individual” who was “larger than life” and said he would be missed.
