Reality TV star Lucy Mecklenburgh has been spotted in Kent, with an Instagram story showing her enjoying a family outing.

The celebrity, who is best known for her appearance on The Only Way Is Essex, spent yesterday exploring Port Lympne Safari Park near Hythe.

With a story tagging the wildlife reserve, she said it had proved popular with her son.

The caption “Roman’s new favourite place” accompanies a short clip of the three-year-old sitting next to the TOWIE celeb as they ride a golf cart through the park.

Lucy was wearing a cardigan decorated with tropical leaves and birds to match the day’s wildlife theme.

Other snaps from her Instagram story show the family deciding what to eat at the attraction’s swanky restaurant, The Garden Room.

Roman be seen tucking into macaroni cheese with chips and veggies on the side, while Lucy’s fiance and former Coronation Street actor, Ryan Thomas, pours gravy over a steak.

After lunch the group head back out to see more animals and Ryan can be heard asking Roman: “What do you want to see on the way home?”

“Baboons!”, the tot replies.

Lucy also shared a video showing inside their accommodation – one of Port Lympne’s “treehouses”.

The wildlife park has welcomed many celebrities in recent years, including other former TOWIE favourites Gemma Collins, Samantha Faiers and Billie Shepherd.

Former Little Mix star Jesy Nelson also paid a visit.

She stayed at the park’s Tiger Lodge.
