Hythe Town resume their Ryman League Division 1 South survival bid on Saturday with a home game against mid-table Carshalton.

Striker Luke Harvey has aggravated his thigh injury and won’t play, although new signings Rhys Lawson and Joe Kennett should both be involved.

Manager Tim Dixon, whose side won 3-0 at Carshalton in September, said: "That was one of our best performances of the season. They’ve got a new manager since then and they’re a slightly different team now but we’ll just worry about ourselves.

"We’re playing some good stuff at home and we need another performance like we had against Hastings (on New Year’s Day).

"We’re looking at the teams in front of us, not the ones behind. We’ve got to put a positive spin on it and catch the next team – and then the next one.

"Sometimes you can be too negative. We’re five points above the drop zone but only nine points off the top-eight."
