Hythe Town will qualify for the Bostik South play-offs if they win their last two games of the season.

Their fate is now in their own hands after rivals Walton Casuals dropped more points at the weekend.

Cannons could even guarantee a top-five finish with victory at East Grinstead on Saturday.

Sam Denly's side are on a 12-match unbeaten run and have won 10 of those games.

"We're in there on merit now," Denly said. "It's in our hands.

"We've worked really hard to get into that position and with two games two go, with know that if we win both, we're in the play-offs.

"We've just got to make sure we finish the job now. We can't take our foot off the gas.

"Our destiny's in our own hands, we're not relying on other results to go our way so the hard work has paid off.

"But we can't rest on our laurels. We've got two massive games now and it would be criminal if we thought the job was done - because it isn't.

"We've got two more games and we want to make that four so we've got to make sure we go into the game on Saturday exactly the same, prepare properly, train well and we'll be looking to get another result."

Fourth-bottom East Grinstead have shipped league 121 goals this season.

Denly said: "They're a strange side but I've always found it difficult going down there. It's a hard place to get a result at times.

"In the past I've gone there with good Herne Bay sides and we've scraped wins or draws so I'm not going to take it lightly.

"Anyone can beat anyone in this league and they've got nothing to play for so they can play with freedom, which can be dangerous.

"We'll prepare as professionally as ever. We're going there to get the job done and however that happens, so be it."

Michael Turner (hamstring) is unlikely to play again this season but Mitchell Dickenson and Connor Sanders are both fit.

Denly said: "Walton have another difficult game against Cray on Saturday so we'll see what happens.

"But we just need to worry about ourselves and make sure we go into the last game knowing a win secures play-off football."
