Former Whitstable manager Will Graham is back in Kent football after taking up a new role at Hythe Town.

The 29-year-old former Margate, Dover Athletic and Ramsgate player, has been named first team coach at Reachfields and will work alongside manager Clive Cook and his assistant Mark Lane.

His appointment follows the departures this week of joint manager Tony Beckingham and coach Darren Anslow.

Graham, a UEFA A licensed coach, began the season as manager of Hythe's Ryman League Division 1 South rivals Whitstable - where he succeeded Jimmy and Danny Ward - but he failed to win any of his six games in charge before leaving.

He was in the Hythe dugout for Tuesday's 3-0 victory at his former club, and manager Cook told the club's website: "Will has impressed Mark Lane and myself immensely with his attitude towards coaching and the players and he is a vastly experienced coach following his time with Dover, Margate, Charlton and of course Whitstable.

"He will be a fresh set of eyes on the playing squad and has a great attitude which fits in perfectly with what Mark Lane and myself want to achieve at Hythe Town."
