Hythe Town maintained their four-point lead at the top of the Kent League Premier Division with a 2-0 victory at Erith & Belvedere on Saturday.

Gary Mickleborough struck goals in each half as Paul Fisk's side produced a very impressive all-round display.

Resolute defending by the Hythe back four meant that keeper Paul Hyde hardly had to make a meaningful save, while Lee Winfield pulled the strings in the centre of midfield to ensure that the visitors were always in control.

Mickelborough struck first after just 11 minutes, and then added his second with 63 minutes gone to wrap up Hythe's 18th win in 26 league games.

Hythe continue their title charge at home to Greenwich Borough this Saturday.
