Hythe Town are looking for a new manager after the shock resignation of Sammy Moore - just one league game into the new season.
Moore led the Cannons to a 2-1 home win over Phoenix Sports in their opening Isthmian South East fixture on Saturday.
But the 36-year-old, whose side lost 3-2 to Abbey Rangers in a midweek FA Cup extra preliminary round replay, has now left Reachfields along with assistant manager Darren Beale.
The Cannons announced the news in a club statement.
It said: “Hythe Town FC can confirm Sammy Moore has resigned as first-team manager with immediate effect.
“The process of appointing a new manager is already under way.
“The club would like to place on record their thanks to Sammy and Darren for all their hard work since taking over last season.
“The football club will make no further comment.”
Moore succeeded Steve Watt as Hythe boss in the final weeks of last season and spent the summer assembling a new squad.
“We’ve got our ambitions,” he said during the close season.
“We’re not publicly going to say what they are but the main thing is to be competitive.
“We’ve come in and we’re starting from scratch really.
“A lot of players have moved on that we tried to keep but they wanted different scenery and a different challenge and after what they’ve done for the club we take our hat off to them.”
