Hythe Town have made their first two signings of the summer.
Midfielder Sam Adams has joined from rivals Hastings United, while the Cannons have also brought in Eastbourne Town striker Kenny Pogue.
Hythe manager Clive Cook clinched both deals on Monday night.
He said: "I’m over the moon to get Sam because I rate him as one of the best midfield players in the league. I’m absolutely elated with it because I’ve been after him for a while.
"I knew him from when David (Cook, Clive's son) was down there. I got to know him very well.
"He’s a box-to-box player, he scores goals, he’s a great No.10 and prising him away after so long at one club, I’m over the moon with it.
"I do rate him very highly and his experience something we probably missed last year.
"He will score goals from a midfield position and we need to score goals from midfield, not rely on the top boys."
Pogue joins Alfie May, Frankie Sawyer and Jack Harris in a formidable Hythe strikeforce.
Cook said: "He was at Hastings for a few years, top goal scorer. He’s a big lad, 6ft 2in and he will score goals, no doubt.
"I’ve always wanted to have four strikers who were decent. I’ve got four strikers now and I’m very pleased with that one as well.
"He’s an out-and-out centre-forward. He puts his head in there, scores goals and he’s a proper striker. You know what strikers are like, all they want to do is score goals and that’s him.
"He’s a smashing lad and I’m pleased to be working with him."
