Hythe Town manager Tim Dixon has warned his players they need to raise their game over the Easter weekend or risk humiliation.
Dixon’s side travel to play-off hopefuls Worthing on Saturday before welcoming local rivals Folkestone to Reachfields on Bank Holiday Monday.
After admitting his side "didn’t turn up" for last weekend’s 1-0 defeat at Walton Casuals, the Cannons boss has demanded better from his players.
Dixon said: "I want a reaction from Saturday. People are expecting us to just see the season out and I don’t want that.
"In the next two games we’re playing teams where if we don’t turn up, we’re going to be humiliated. Both teams have things to play for.
"Worthing are trying to get in the play-offs and they’ve got a good young side. We played them just before Christmas and they scored a 94th-minute equaliser, which still sticks in the memory.
"Folkestone, on Monday, is one of the biggest Kent derbies and they’re playing for their place in the play-offs. They’re looking to finish second or third because home advantage is important and Cugs will have them fired up.
"I hope there are lots of people to perform to – and I hope we do perform because if we played like we did on Saturday, we’ll get nothing."
