Dan Stubbs has returned for a second spell at Hythe Town.
The midfielder, 25, is boss Tim Dixon's second signing of the summer.
Stubbs offers pace, bundles of energy and can play anywhere in midfield.
He also operated at right-back for one of his old clubs, Maidstone, helping them win the Ryman South play-offs two years ago.
Stubbs, who started his career at Ebbsfleet, scored twice and laid on seven goals during a 15-game spell at Hythe at the end of the 2013-14 season.
Cannons boss Tim Dixon told the club website: "Not only is Stubbsy a very good footballer, but he's a great lad to have in the dressing room.
"He can't wait to get going this season and he will be a fantastic addition to the squad."
There's a supporters' meeting and meet the manager evening at Reachfields tonight (doors open 7pm for a 7.30pm start).
