Manager Sam Denly is confident Zak Ansah will still be a Hythe Town player next season.
Ansah bagged 20 goals after joining the Cannons in January and broke the club record for scoring in 10 consecutive matches.
The striker's bound to have offers this summer but early suggestions are he'd like to stay.
Denly said: "I'm sure his phone will be going off. He's a great player but I'm hopeful his future lies with Hythe.
"He's got a lot of commitments outside football which is going well with his work.
"He does quite a bit with his old man now so he's got a good balance.
"Playing at this level suits him and he's enjoying his football again.
"He fell out of love with the game but he's loving it now.
"He's got a good balance between football and work so I think it suits him.
"It goes without saying we we want to keep him. He'd be a massive player for us next year and we could almost build the team around him.
"He's going to be getting good offers but he's saying all the right things. Hopefully we get him tied down and he continues scoring goals for us."
Denly expects Ryan Johnson and Mitchell Dickenson to agree new deals this week.
He said: "I hope there will be a few more announcements, a couple more lads done on contract and then we'll go from there.
"Everyone's saying the right things. They all want to stay and there's a feeling we've got unfinished business with how we finished last season.
"If we stick together as a squad and add a few, we're going to be a real danger next season and all the boys want to start next season how we finished this one."
