Utility man Charlie Webster has put pen to paper to stay with Hythe for next season.
Webster joins Ryan Palmer in agreeing to feature for Sam Denly's Cannons in the 2018/19 Bostik South campaign.
Former Gillingham youngster Webster finished the campaign at left-back for Hythe but has also featured in midfield.
"Charlie has been outstanding," said Denly. "He has played almost every game for me and he has been left-back, right-back, centre-mid.
"He has been absolutely outstanding and is a fantastic footballer.
"He has great ability, going up and down the line and can play in any position which is a manager’s dream.
"It’s great to secure his services because he’s a young footballer coming through and has a bright future in the game."
Denly's job now is to try and keep as many of the current squad together as possible.
The early signs are good, and he is hopeful that the vast majority will be plying their trade at Reachfields again in August.
"We’ve shown if we can stay together then there’ll be exciting times at Hythe," added Denly.
"It’s all about next season for me now. I want everyone committed for next year and if I can keep the squad together then we will be pushing for the title, not play-offs.
"Conversations are going well. A couple have already committed, they’re saying the right things and I want to keep them all as they’re a fantastic group of players."
