The Southborough Civic Centre located in the heart of Southborough, Kent plays host to a newly built town square area, a range of key community services and several retail units upon development, becoming a dynamic venue with something for everyone.
Amongst the facilities including Southborough Library, St Andrew’s Medical Centre and a new pharmacy, there are now four main spaces available for hire to the public.
These include Unity Hall, a large hall/theatre space including kitchen/bar area, as well as community rooms: The Bounds Oak Community Room, The Lambersart Room and The Brickworks Room.
Each space is adaptable, providing a great environment for a range of activities including yoga and pilates, to meetings and mother and baby groups! Southborough Civic Centre is ideal for any type of event, proving to be the perfect setting for birthdays, functions, christenings, anniversaries, and all other parties, as well as business meetings, workout classes and much more.
Unity hall is the heart of the Civic Centre, a large contemporary hall and theatre space with a fully equipped kitchen and bar area. Seating up to 320 people, the hall is available for one-off hire or extended theatre productions offering a state-of-the-art sound and lighting system which fills the room. There is also a green room/changing room attached for all events held.
With a 20-piece stage it is great for live performances, dance shows or classes, conferences, and indoor markets with various hire options to explore.
The Bounds Oak Room is the largest meeting room within the first floor of the Civic Centre, capable of seating 60 individuals with sufficient floor space for up to 70 people standing. It is perfect for fitness classes, choir rehearsals or small award ceremonies and is fully accessible from ground level with accessible facilities on all floors.
The Lambersart Room is slightly smaller, designed with space for up to 36 people standing, available for meetings, smallworkout classes, baby sensory groups and more! The room is within proximity to the disabled access and toilets with all rooms including access to the internet and having central heating.
The Brickworks Room is the smallest of the Civic Centre’s rooms for hire, with space for up to 27 people standing. Brickworks is ideal for meetings and small AMGs, small workout classes and much more!
The Civic Centre proves to be an extremely versatile and adaptable venue with endless opportunities for events, proving to satisfy everyone’s needs.
The public opening hours for the Civic Centre including tours and meetings with the facilities team, are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
