A FORMER banker is offering tips on how businesses can tap money for growth.

Ian Netherton, a bank manager with Barclays Bank in Folkestone from 1990 to 1995, and now a specialist adviser at Business Link Kent, will give a talk on sources of finance for business expansion.

The talk at Folkestone Enterprise Gateway, The Glassworks, Mill Bay, Folkestone, will be held on Monday, September 26, starting at 6pm.

Mr Netherton said: "I’ll be talking about sources of funds in general and about creating business plans that answer many of the questions likely to be asked by a lender or investor.

"Sources of funds often have different criteria, so it’s important to understand them before presenting a plan for start up or expansion capital."

The session is free, although places are limited. More details on 01303 223239 or e-mail info@folkestonegateway.com.
