Judges of the annual awards were looking for a business that can show "outstanding initiative, boldness and imagination in the enterprise, as well as sound management practices".

Steve said: "To be shortlisted alongside such talented individuals in my category was a real honour.

"I’m delighted the IoD recognised the contribution I have made to not only the continued success of Astro, but the development of my entire, dedicated team. We have been undergoing an exciting transformation programme for the last few years at Astro, both with the team and the services we deliver to our customers; to have the stewardship of this recognised by such a professional and reputable establishment, in support of the feedback we get from customers and staff, is incredibly rewarding indeed.”
