Duke of Kent accepts set of draughts from Denne

A unique travel set of draughts hand-made by skilled craftsmen has won royal approval.

Denne Joinery presented the Duke of Kent with the special gift during his visit to its offices and manufacturing workshop in Bramling, near Canterbury.

The royal guest, accompanied by Richard Oldfield, the Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Kent, met managing director Ross Parker and senior executives Nicholas Kingsman and Terry Beer.

The Duke said it has been a most interesting visit and thanked everyone for the “wonderful gift.”

Award-winning Denne Joinery designs, manufactures and installs high quality items. It specialises in the top end of residential, commercial, leisure, retail and shopfitting sectors for the construction industry.

Its clients include Willmott Dixon Interiors, Structuretone, ISG Living & Leisure, ISG Construction and Westgreen Construction.
