A free seminar will help business leaders find out how to strengthen their workforce by working with higher and further education establishments.

East Kent Partnership is holding an event at Discover Park, near Sandwich, covering topics like leadership and management training, work placements and apprenticeships.

The collaboration between East Kent College and Canterbury Christ Church University will also give expert advice on social media and how to deal with corporate and workplace disputes.

Canterbury Christ Church University business development officer Angela Gill said: “This is an excellent opportunity for businesses to find out how we can work with them.

“The East Kent Partnership was established to support local companies and show them how we can support their growth by providing access to highly-skilled students, expert training and advice.”

Discovery Park has nearly 100 business tenants and has hosted events of this kind for clients and other companies before.

HOTcraze and Corporate Creations founder Jean-Francois Chodecki said: “Past events run by East Kent Partnership have been very beneficial for our company, particularly on consultancy and research.

“They have been both insightful and enjoyable and we would highly recommend attending future events of this nature to other progressive companies looking to maximise and expand their business.”

The Empower Your Workforce event takes place on Tuesday, July 22 from 9am to 2pm. Register at www.empoweryourworkforce.eventbrite.co.uk.
