MORE jobs are coming to a Sittingbourne engineering company which says it is going from strength to strength.

Contracts Engineering Ltd of Chapel Park, Stadium Way, is involved in precision sheet metalwork and makes everything from golf ball washers to shop display units.

Next month it takes delivery of a £250,000 laser cutting machine to increase standards and efficiency still further.

Sales director John Doust said: "We were founded 14 years ago when industry was going through a hard time and many companies were closing down.

"The two partners, Paul Smith and Roger Higham have worked hard to build up the company to its present size and now employ 21 people.

"They have always reinvested in machinery and have in the past few years trained two apprentices and hope to take more on in the future. Long term there will be more jobs as the company grows."
